A Faster Optical-Flow Path

Up to 35% faster on RTX 5060: that is NVIDIA's claim for its October 13 Frame Generation beta. Preset C replaces the optical-flow AI model with a lighter algorithm, accepting minor image-quality trade-offs.

Read the Chart Carefully

The chart normalizes NVIDIA's comparison to 100 versus 135. These are relative performance indices, not measured FPS. The announcement does not supply enough test detail to reproduce that maximum gain. Try It Per Game

Opt into NVIDIA app beta features, select a supported game, then choose Custom under DLSS Override - Model Presets and set Frame Generation to Preset C.

My Take

I would compare motion clarity before making this global. A higher counter deserves scrutiny when the algorithm changes.
